Omar, Cruz Clash on Twitter Over Iranian Terrorist’s Death

Rep. Ilhan Omar is outraged that President Trump assassinated the notorious Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani, whom she called “a foreign official” without informing Congress of the order.

“We are outraged the president would assassinate a foreign official, possibly setting off another war without Congressional authorization and has zero plan to deal with the consequences,” Ms. Omar tweeted in a response to Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican. “But of course you know that.”

Cruz responded to a tweet in which Omar called on members of Congress to step in and prevent President Trump from engaging in armed conflict with Iran. He pointed out the Obama administration acknowledged Soleimani “was a terrorist directly responsible for the murder of over 500 US service men & women.”

“According the the Obama Department of Defense, Qasem Soleimani was a terrorist directly responsible for the murder of over 500 US service men & women. Why are congressional Dems outraged that he’s finally dead?, Cruz tweet read.

The Minnesota Democrat and founding member of the “squad” responded to Cruz tweet, suggesting the Texas Senator overlooked her criticism of a president ordering the attack without congressional approval.

“We are outraged the president would assassinate a foreign official, possibly setting off another war without Congressional authorization and has zero plan to deal with the consequences, Omar said in response on Twitter. “But of course you know that.”

Omar called on members of Congress late Thursday to join her in stopping President Trump from starting a war as a “distraction” in Iran following the U.S. airstrike that killed Soleimani.

“So what if Trump wants war, knows this leads to war and needs the distraction?” the Democrat freshman “Squad” member said on twitter. “Real question is, will those with congressional authority step in and stop him? I know I will.”

Omar was responding to a tweet from Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn who questioned whether the Commander-in-Chief acted in his duty powers to authorize the attack without congressional declaration or approval.

The Pentagon confirmed Thursday evening that President Trump order the attack that killed Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force and Iran’s top “shadow commander,” among other military officials at Baghdad International Airport in Iraq

“At the direction of the President, the U.S. military has taken decisive defensive action to protect U.S. personnel abroad by killing Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization,” the agency said in a statement. “This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans. The United States will continue to take all necessary action to protect our people and our interests wherever they are around the world.”

I wholeheartedly trust and confide on President Trump’s decisions. Also congratulate and praise him and his smart and intellectual members of his cabinet, for their recent, extremely successful aim and riddance of this Iranian monstrous assassin, Soleimani, from the face of the earth.

Where is this woman’s outrage when this Iranian general killed Americans and defenseless civilians?! Omar is a Muslim and she believes that killing another person is justified if it furthers the cause of Islam.

She has no clue. Just more BS from someone that way in over her head. Typical of a Marxist-Maoist/Socialist. All talk and no substance.

Interesting they were tweeting and laughing at Trump before this incident on the Embassy attack was his Benghazi and how is he going to handle it! They were laughing about it and then when he did handle it they are crying in the beer. Who in their impeachment trial did they say didn’t work with Congress and American interest? He sure help me see we have someone that is for our American workers and military and wants to protect us. That didn’t show in Benghazi. They lied to us and blamed an innocent man in California for it and even… Read more »

Now Omar Listen up. You said once that”Some people did something on 9/11″. Well now some other people did something yesterday.

Now that you and your “some people” are aware that what goes around also comes around.

Some people need to be aware that 9/11 is still quite a sore spot with us and the payback isn’t over.

Do they not know that President Trump had the constitutional authority to go after a terrorist who is know to harm and kill US citizens? He doesn’t need their approval or authorization. It’s like they are Mommy and have to have their child ask permission.

Only an Antisemitic, mass murder loving Democrat would be opposed to an Iranian, Antisemitism, mass murder general being neutralized. Whoops, I forgot it was an Antisemitic, mass murder loving Democrat. One of her hero’s, that murders Muslims as easily as Americans.

What Congresswoman Omar fails to know and say is President Trump has the authority to order an attack on a foreign person or country if they threaten the safety of United States citizens or property.
According to reports, Soleimani was planing attacks on US citizens’ and properties. The ordered attack by President Trump prevented these attacks and probably saved lives

The president of the United States is well within his rights to act to prevent further escalation of Iran against the US. In recent days without consulting Congress. Some Congress people might have escalated this one event into a war by talking out of turn and I include Imar in my accustation. Very recently, Iran has set fire to the US embassy in Baghdad, killing one US soldier. They have destroyed a US drone and attacked naval vessels, too. The “good” general was responsible for the deaths of 500 US citizens as well as thousands of his own people and… Read more »
