Shorts with a Cardigan Combo

Cardigan: NanaMacs | Shorts: NanaMacs | Sunglasses: Quay | Shoes: DSW |

Hey friends. For this post, I have teamed up with NanaMacs to showcase the most cutest shorts and cardigan that I paired together. You can get 10% off your first order with code MONA10.

With summer almost over (crying here), it is time to transition some cute fall clothing into my summer wardrobe. My all time favorite summer-fall outfit to combine is shorts with a cardigan. Once summer is officially over (crying again), I love to pair the perfect in-between look with booties.

Despite the heat wave New York has been experiencing, I am always cold. I need to always carry a lightweight cardigan because this city loves to blast the AC into a freezing point everywhere I go.

A cardigan is a layering staple, but not all cardigans were created equal. From cropped to maxi dusters, the length of a cardigan can completely change a look. I just adore this one and it’s a steal at $47.00. (Use my code to get it for $42). You can find this cardigan here or search “Pardon Me Striped Cardigan.” It comes in Gray, Black, Pink and Orange.

This long cardigan can be apart of so many summer outfit ideas like over skinny jeans, shorts, a dress, or even to the beach as a cover-up.  It’s lightweight and thin, so it’s always great for travel. My favorite things about this cardigan sweater are that it can be worn with jeans, shorts, skirts and dress. It is one of the SOFTEST and the most comfortable cardigan I own and for a great price, and I know for a FACT I will be wearing it all season year long! If you don’t already have an all-around great cardigan sweater, I highly recommend this one!

I am wearing a size small in this long striped cardigan.

Can we also talk about this gem shorts also from NanaMacs. This year, I have been wearing shorts nonstop. In the past, shorts were harder to shop for, but with so many different types of styles and patterns of shorts, I had to have them all. These shorts beg to go from business chic to date night!

The material on this is pleated, which is meant to be worn on the dressier side and the length along with the flare is perfect for a professional setting. It comes with a gorgeous belt that shows off the high-waisted silhouette. Pair this beauty with a basic top and throw the striped cardigan or other ones from NanaMacs to complete your look.

These shorts are a steal at $45 ($41.50 with my code MONA10). You can find this shorts here or search “Back To Work Belted Shorts.” I am wearing a size small.

I’m looking forward to layering this cardigan sweater with many more outfits including rompers, jumpsuits, jeans, shorts and tees, etc… basically everything this Summer, Fall and even in the winter! As for the shorts, I think after NYFW, I will put these bad boys away until next spring/summer.
