First Lady Melania Trump hosted a luncheon with Governors Spouses in the White House Blue Room Monday afternoon.
Dressed in winter whites for the lunch, Melania wore a belted wool-crepe coat from Gucci. She first wore this white beauty last September during the United Nations General Assembly. The stunning coat was easily to identify by non-fashion lovers thanks to the double G belt cinch in at the waist. From Gucci’s Pre-Fall ’19 collection, the coat is elegantly tailored from warm wool-crepe in a soft ecru hue. Inspired by the 1970s styles, it featured a notched collar, pleated back and four zipped pockets at the front. The coat retails for $3,890 and is available for purchase at Net-A-Porter.com.

Before the lunch, Melania gave a brief remark, promoting her Be Best initiative and asked the governors spouses to address cyberbullying in their home states.
“I know the many issues associated with online safety will be hard to stop, but there is a need now more than ever to teach our children healthy behavior to secure a safer future for all of them,” Melania said.
Online safety is one of three pillars of the first lady’s ‘Be Best’ Initiative.
She shared the touching story of a 16-year-old high school junior, Channing Smith, who committed suicide in September 2019 after his classmates outed him as gay by spreading intimate messages between him and a boy on social media. At the time, Channing had not been public about his sexuality.
“He was so ashamed and felt so hopeless that Channing committed suicide,” Melania said. “Since their tragic loss, the Smith family has been using their grief to partner with influencers such as Billy Ray Cyrus to educate people about the dangers of cyberassault.”
Singer Billy Ray Cyrus has worked with the Smith family to stop bullying online and met with the first lady in November to discuss the issue. Cyrus performed at Channing’s memorial service.
Melania urged the governors’ spouses to “consider addressing this issue in your own home states so that no family will have to suffer from a loss like the Smiths.”
On Sunday, President Trump and first lady hosted the annual Governor’s Ball at the White House, where the president praised governors for their ‘tremendous’ work this year. For the black-tie event Melania donned a Carolina Herrera embellished sleeveless gown.
